SUMMER SELECT / NATIONAL TEAMS PHOTOS ON SHUTTERFLY

AYSO is a "recreation league" for all age groups and all playing
abilities. However, in the spring of every year, we hold try-outs for
age groups U10 and above to create "Summer Select" teams that play in
tournaments against other AYSO regional teams during the summer months.
There are 4 major tournaments our Sandy/Draper Region usually
participates in:
Brigham City - Golden Spike Classic
Cottonwood Invitational
Hooper Tomato Wars
High Valley Shootout (Eden/Liberty)
Between the 4 tournaments, Summer Select participants will play an
additional 20 to 25 games in June and July. Coaches usually require some
extra practices and require more of the individual player as far as
skill and commitment to the team goes. It is a GREAT opportunity for
players to get more competition and test their skills against other
regions and leagues. Summer Select teams are required to pay for a new
jersey as well as tournament fees. These fees usually range between $150
and $200.
