We have officially scheduled AYSO Referee training. Here are the details:
Tuesday, September 8th - 5pm to 8pm (in class) at the Sandy Library (small meeting room) - 13th East 100th South.
Thursday, September 10th - 5pm to 7:30pm (on field) at Union Park (the park just north of Union Middle School).
Both days are required to earn the referee patch. If you complete the training you will receive an official referee shirt (where your nifty patch can attach) and a whistle. :
REMEMBER! This training is open to ANYONE 12 years old and up. Tell your friends to come! Even if you don't think you want to get on the field and ref, this training is a GREAT way to understand the game better. And, if you ARE willing to get out on the field and ref a few games, we will be giving out gift cards at the end of the season as an incentive to do so. We'll be tracking all the games reffed… so the more you ref, the more you can get!
A few items:
1. Everyone needs to register as a volunteer at www.eayso.org - even youth referees
2. Registered volunteers can also take the online "Assistant Referee" training at www.aysotraining.org 3. We will most likely hold another training the week of October 12th (right before UEA weekend). So if you can't make this training, plan on coming in October!
